The IQ Panel 2 Plus comes with a 319.5 MHz radio, the same frequency used by GE/Interlogix systems for decades.
“We began developing our own sensor line in 2013 using the legacy 319 MHz frequency,” said Mike Hackett, Qolsys senior vice president of sales and marketing. “In 2016, we introduced our S-Line, with a layer of encryption on the 319 frequency.”
Qolsys panels are a direct replacement for an existing Interlogix wireless panel without requiring any translators, which means they also can take over existing life safety devices such as smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors.
Former Interlogix dealers can perform rapid installs with the “All-In-One” IQ Panel, the company reported. Behind the 7-in. HD touchscreen every IQ Panel is equipped with LTE and Wi-Fi Dual Path Connectivity. Z-Wave Plus, legacy 319 RF and PowerG are all built in alongside the pre-installed Lithium Polymer battery. The built-in panel camera enables disarm photos with face recognition, the ability to “peek in” from the mobile app, and record video during alarm events.
Differentiating features such as “hands free” Bluetooth Disarming, a built-in glass break detector, “Live Answer” for video doorbell, and “Live View” that displays indoor and outdoor video camera feeds on the panel come standard, as well as regular software updates.
“Since the Interlogix announcement we have signed over 1,000 dealers,” Hackett said.
